What is the major theme of this novel?

The major theme of this novel is that it is impossible for human to make perfect world. Though it seemed perfect in the outside, each individual were terrified of thought crime and death and had a miserable life. There was no spirit in their lives. "The Party" were emphasising war is peace, freedom is slavery, and igornace is strength. Those are all opposite of real peace and happiness. Human beings were controlling everything. This theme is important to teenagers living in 2008 because it is showing that God is the only one who can make perfect world. Teenagers should focus on God. World that is controlled by human is not a pleasant world but hopeless world. We are living in a world that is dark and evil. Though there are people who are pure and kind, there are more people who are dirty and evil. Evil people are contaminating the world for they do not God. We should live our life toward God for He will give you peace, happiness, and hope.

Hey Sophie~this is Jenny K.^^
Anyway,
you said that the major theme of this novel is that humans can't create a perfect world, only God can. I agree with you, but that doesn't mean we live in a hopeless world right now, does it? Our world is being watched over by God. Since we control it, yeah, it's no way near perfect, but I don't think you and I are living in despair right now.
